During the period of June 30 - July 17 and again August 09-14, our Club office hours will be: Monday through Thursday 9:30–12:30. Closed on Fridays.
We walk at a brisk pace for about two hours on Friday mornings throughout the year in the Geneva countryside and canton Vaud using public transport. We usually meet around 9:00 and end around noon. SOS Hedgehogs Care Center
and Garden Visit
Join us as we visit the Garden at the SOS Hedgehog Care Center in Vernier!

Calling all urban wildlife enthusiasts! We are planning another excursion to SOS Hedgehog, a refuge located in Vernier. This is a busy time of year for hedgehog rescue and the center is sure to be packed with adorable hedgehogs, big and small. We will also tour the center's incredible garden, an oasis of biodiversity right in the city. We are limited to 12 people, so don't wait to sign up! Parking is available along the property, or the closest bus stops are Vernier village (terminus) or Bois Chébé.

Beginner's French!
Gillian is excited to start teaching a beginner's French class for those of you who are completely new to the language or those who might of had a few classes earlier in life.
In this weekly class, we will learn in an informal, friendly, and supportive group.

Join your fellow members for a drink before heading over to the Cathedral to enjoy access to the Cathedral towers and to admire the panorama during a full moon.
We will meet at the fountain at the Place de Bourg de Four at 7:30 to have a drink and chat and then head over to the Cathedral to purchase tickets for the tower tour.
The tickets are CHF 10 per person.
Partners are welcome to join.

Paper Crafting Group
Love all things paper?
Let’s get together and be creative. Angie will bring past card kits for us to make. This will be a chance to stretch your creativity, we can take the kits apart and use the pieces to make new cards or use the kits as is. All supplies and kits will be provided. There is no charge, however, there will be a donation jar to cover the supplies for those who wish to donate.
You must register up to two days before class so Angie can prepare the correct amount of paper crafts.

Newcomers to the game, the game of mahjong is a bit complicated in the beginning so plan to play at least three times to start understanding the basics and improve from there.

La Maison de Tara is a hospice offering an alternative to hospitalization for people in palliative care. Residents spend their final days in a non-medical atmosphere surrounded by warmth, care and tenderness.
Volunteers from the AIWC help to maintain a beautiful vegetable, flower and rose garden.

Perfect your Bridge! - Come along to learn how to improve your game with a professional English speaking bridge teacher.
Lessons one or two Wednesday mornings a month - There is a 20CHF fee per lesson payable in cash directly to the teacher.

Colis du Coeur provides food and hygienic products for free to people in precarious situation. The distribution is customized to allow families from 3000 homes to choose what they need.
We will help to replenish the shelves of their distribution center.
There are several public transports nearby but a free parking is also available.

Do you love working with pins and needles? This activity is for those who work in any needle craft, including sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and even clothes repair. There is no specific instruction but lots of discussion and we are also happy to help you gain confidence with your practice! Come work on your project in the company of other women who love to do needlework while chatting.

General Information and Guidelines: updated 29, October 2020 1- Children and pets are not allowed on hikes. 2- Hikes are 3+ hours and an all day commitment is necessary in order to participate. 3- Hikes are generally outside the canton of Geneva and are mostly reached using public transport. 4- Hikes are led by volunteer leaders who will supply all the necessary information about the hike on the AIWC Forum.. 5- Hikers are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing ,shoes, pools and for bringing all necessary equipment and supplies, particularly water, lunch and snacks. 6- Participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being and must follow the instructions provided by hike leaders. 7- The AIWC declines responsibility for the loss of personal property.
Calling all movie lovers! Join us (usually) on the first Monday of the month to watch a movie in a local cinema followed by discussion of the movie over a glass of wine or a coffee in a nearby café. We will choose movies either in English or with English subtitles that are screening on a Monday afternoon or early evening depending on showtimes.
Because new movies for the week are not posted until Wednesday, we will not be able to use the Hotline to communicate the chosen film. In order to directly receive information about the upcoming movie, subscribe to the Movie Club on our Activities Update Page here.

Villars sur Ollon. It will be a full day excursion
Join us for a fun and informative wine pairing evening with Beth Ann Dahan, who is a member of the club and a professional oenologist. We will taste at least 6 wines with various foods and the cost will be CHF 20 pp. Members who register will also be asked to sign up to prepare or buy food items from a list that will be provided. Partners welcome. Register no later than July 25.
Cocktails and Conversation! It's a Ladies' Night out with great drinks and even better conversation! Usually the first Wednesday of the month.

Pilates with Claudia! This one hour Pilates class, is an effective full-body workout with body awareness, improving muscle strength, coordination & flexibility. The focus is on coordinating breathing together with controlled movements. This class is recommended for all levels.
Registration opens two weeks before the class. Pilates and Yoga are very popular classes so please sign up for one or the other in order to give all our interested members an opportunity to join a class.
These casual events are a great way to learn about the AIWC’s 40+ activities, special events, excursions and community service projects. Great for new folks that just moved to the city.
