Join us for an Extraordinary General Meeting at 14:00

The Board invites all current AIWC members to an Extraordinary General Meeting, beginning at 14:00 in the Clubrooms, to vote on amending Article IV (3) of the AIWC Constitution.

The constitution currently reads that, “The President shall be a citizen of the United States of America.” We propose it is changed to read that, “The office of the President is open to English-speaking women of all nationalities.”

Voting on the amendment will take place in person at the Club, via Zoom, and by post.

• If you are attending on Zoom, please register on the website or on the Wild Apricot mobile app and an invitation to join the meeting will be sent to you. You must remain on the chat until the vote has taken place to be counted.

• If you are voting by post, you must obtain an absentee ballot from the Parliamentarian (aiwcparliamentarian@gmail.com).  Your filled-in ballot must be received on or before January 20, 2022.  Ballots received after 19:00 on January 20, 2022 will not be counted. 

• Members voting in person must register on the website or on the Wild Apricot mobile app.  Due to current COVID regulations we are limited to 50 members in the Club at one time.  Once you have voted, you will be requested to leave so that others may enter the Club.

• Walk-in voting, without pre registration, is welcome from 15:30-19:00.

Voting will close on January 20, 2022 at 19:00. The result of the vote takes effect immediately.  Please arrive early for COVID check-in so that the meeting can start on time. All current COVID rules will apply.
