Registration

POSTPONED DUE TO STORMS This week's Adventure Hike is the Bex Salt Trail starting in Plambuit and finishing in either Le Bévieux or Bex. The description according to Schwieiz Mobile is "It follows a brine pipeline made of larch wood that transported water from the very first salt spring. Panels at various stages along the route display information worth knowing about salt mining. They guide hikers through forests, across fields, past quaint villages and vineyards, and to waterfalls with the Alps as backdrop."

The hike seems to be relatively easy. I think it will be more road-like than trail which is good at the moment due to the rain and snow we've been having. Depending on the amount of time we have we will either walk  to Le Bévieux which is 13 kms, 350 vm up, 670 vms down, about 3 1/2 hours walking. Or, to Bex Gare 16kms, 370vm up, 752vm down, 4h15 walking. Unfortunately the Bex Salt Mine (in Le Bévieux) is already fully booked.

Departure Geneva at 8:10  with arrival in Plambuit  at 9:46. Return option from Bévieux 14:46 / 15:46 with arrival Geneva  16:40 / 17:40  or many Bex Gare options.

Registration is required by16:00 the Friday before the hike.- remember to hit confirm or your registration will not go through. Once you register, a confirmation email will be sent to you .
