This activity leader is Carol Waites. She has an MA in Applied Linguistics and has taught writing skills and English to international civil servants in Geneva and in the field for several decades. She is a passionate linguist and would like to share with you interesting topics, tools and tips.
Sessions will be scheduled once each month, possibly moving to suit participants, currently offered on Tuesdays.
Everyone is welcome!
The topics are particularly interesting for advanced English speakers and those whose first language is English. If English is your second or third language, you will be at least intermediate level (B2) and able to follow a presentation in English.
At this first session Carol will introduce her plan for future discussions, share a list of potential topics and provide an opportunity for participants to make suggestions depending on individual interests.
She may ask you to read a short text before the session to set the scene, but this will be optional.
Please bring an electronic device that can connect to the internet or pair up with someone who has one. A mobile phone could be sufficient in most cases.
