Jardin de Tara, Wednesdays, 10:30-2:30 pm (come for however long you can stay! It is possible to work at the garden on other days but please sign up on the Wednesday schedule so we have a record of participants). Bring a drink and a lunch or snack as we will enjoy "teatime" where we can learn gardening tips and skills with our wonderful Horticulturalist, Adina Oosterwijk.
La Maison de Tara is a hospice home where people in palliative care can stay as an alternative to hospitalization. Residents spend their final days in a non-medical atmosphere surrounded by warmth, care and tenderness.
Volunteers from the AIWC help to maintain a beautiful vegetable, flower and rose garden. As this is a fairly new garden space, the garden design is an ongoing project for AIWC volunteers.
You are welcome to join us in the garden and also join the WhatsApp group for the weekly project updates. When you come to the garden, please check in with Anne Terada, and be sure to prepare for the weather! We have a supply of gardening gloves and tools.
