The Association pour la sauvegarde du Léman is organizing a large group to attack Knotweed, an invasive plant species which sucks up enormous amounts of water, chokes out indigenous plants by emitting a poison from its roots and can grow up to 8cm per day.
The more members, the merrier. Please keep in mind that because we are next to the lake and possibly in rocky zones, good balance is important. You will need solid shoes and clothing adapted to gardening. One sector of the weeding will be knee deep in water so if you are up to it, bring water shoes and a swimsuit. During my conversations with Olivier, he did not bring up gloves, but I think it's a good idea.
Please register by Monday so I can send him the number of people joining.
The Leman Express stops in Versoix. It seems to be a 10 minute walk to the Port. Alternatively, Bus 50 stops at Port Choiseul which is a five minute walk.
