Registration

Registration is closed

This week’s hike is “car share” and starts in Mont Saxonnex in Haute Savoie, which is around 30 minutes’ drive from Etrembieres/Annemasse taking the motorway which goes to Chamonix.

The hike starts at the parking du Bete at 1160 m. altitude. The path ascends gradually to 1463 m and the stunning Lac Benit.

We’ll walk around the lake, then there are two options up to 1562 m, either a small path straight up or a longer less steep path. After our picnic lunch we’ll go back down the way we came up, to the parking.

The hike, without stops is about 3 hours. Bring, passport, euros, walking poles if you use them, plenty of water, snacks, picnic lunch, hat, sunscreen.

There is a buvette at the lac, but I’m not sure of opening times.
The first part of the hike is up a well-established path which doesn’t have much shade so we should meet in Mont Saxonnex at 9 am.

Once you sign up, driving instructions will be sent to you or go to the Activities Update page.
