Monday Adventure Hiking Group - cancelled

  • Monday, November 07, 2022
  • 08:00
  • Sixt, France

Registration

This hike is organized by Christine while Sara and Desi are away and is a physically difficult hike of 700 vertical meters up and the same route back down, 10 kms total walking of approximately 4 hours.

The hike (from our 2009 AIWC Happy Wanderer hiking book)  is called Chalet de Sales which does not do justice to the numerous waterfalls in this beautiful nature reserve. It is in France past Samoen, near the village of Sixt.

Know your ability before you sign up. The last few Monday hikes have been between 300-500 vertical meters. If you were on those hikes, and didn't have a difficult time, I am sure this hike of 700 vm will be tiring but fine. The trail is rocky so sturdy hiking boots and two poles are a must!

I have space in my car for four people departing at 8:15 from VĂ©senaz. I will send more details once you sign up. If timing gets difficult, this area in the photo below is a beautiful turn-around point.

For more information  you can look on-line https://www.altituderando.com/Chalets-de-Sales

Registration is required by16:00 the Friday before the hike.- remember to hit confirm or your registration will not go through. Once you register, a confirmation email will be sent to you .
