Our speaker this month will be Lisa Cirieco-Ohlman.  Lisa could be described as an expat but she is so integrated into the local scene that she never uses that label. When her father started work at WHO in 1972 on a 2-year contract, she never could have imagined still living here 50 YEARS on!

Attending the Lycée des Nations from 4th grade and then the International School LGB campus where she graduated, didn’t help integrate her into the Swiss lifestyle. After attending Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, and receiving a BFA in Graphic Design, she returned to Geneva to start working in an all French-speaking environment. From there, integration was easy. Friends, colleagues, and eventually a Swiss husband contributed to her extensive root system.

All 3 of Lisa’s sons were born here, and all attended Swiss public schools. With her reputation of “knowing it all”, her work experience in Graphic Design and Marketing, it was an obvious next step to self-publish a printed guide in 1999: Know-it-all passport®

Not all Lisa’s projects have been successful; this has created a catch phrase she uses daily: Failure is an option.

Lisa will be talking to the AIWC’s WaW group about her parcours, her successes, her failures, and how she manages to keep creative.
