The Wines of Central and Eastern Europe

Discover the hidden wine gems of Central and Eastern Europe where you will explore a diverse range of regions—from Austria and Hungary to Slovenia, Croatia and the Czech Republic.  In these countries, ancient traditions meet a vibrant new generation of winemakers. Learn about indigenous grape varieties, unique terroirs, and the stories behind these increasingly sought-after wines, all while enjoying a curated tasting that offers a fresh and exciting perspective on Europe’s evolving wine landscape.  

AIWC club member Beth Ann Dahan, long-time wine educator and vineyard owner will lead us through a tasting of a variety of wines. All wine lovers welcome – no experience or prerequisite required!

The cost of this course will be CHF 15-20 to cover the cost of the wines. Please bring this to the class and pay directly to Beth Ann.

The Wine Tasting Seminars will take place at different times over the course of the year. Each class is a stand-alone class.

Future seminars might include, but not limited to: New World vs Old World wines, Fortified Wines, Regional Wine Seminars, and Food Wine Pairing.
