Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month as we explore private gardens around Switzerland and neighboring France.  Selected gardens are generally within a 2hr driving radius of Geneve.  We have carefully chosen private gardens (ie not public parks) classified ‘exceptional’.

This forth AIWC Garden Visit will be to the  Jaysinia in Samoens, France - approximately a one hour drive from Geneva.

It should be noted that it is difficult to reach by public transport.

The botanical, alpine gardens cover 3.7 ha with 3kms of paths and is rated as an 'outstanding garden of France'. Once a private home garden, the property has been gifted to France & is now affiliated to the Botanical Gardens of France under the auspices of Natural History Museum of Paris. The gardens present a panorama of alpine plants from all over the world amongst fountains, waterfalls & ponds.

The gardens are open from morning and afternoon and it is suggested we follow the visit with a light lunch at a nearby restaurant, leaving some time to explore the village after lunch.

Entry to the garden is free. : Children welcome during school holidays, please register children as “guests”.

For more information contact Carolyn here.
