45th Course d'Escalade: Walking

The Course d'Escalade is one of the most Genevois activities you can participate in. Over the course of two days, more than 45,000 people will be running and walking the streets of Geneva.

This year the AIWC will enter a walking team. This is purely for fun. There is no competition. Together we will walk  the 9 kms along streets full of bands, alphorns and DJs. Once our registration is closed we plan to come up with some sort of simple costume or embellishment for the occasion.

Your whole family is invited, However, the Escalade rules state that because there are so many people, no strollers, no dogs and no hiking poles are allowed.

If you would like to join, please read and follow these instructions:

1. Register on our website.
2. Once you pay the AIWC, we will send you the link to the Course d'Escalade AIWC Group Registration page.
3. On this page, you will need to create a log-in if you've never participated before. Then you will  enter your details .
4. Make sure when you register on the Escalade page, you choose the WALKING event and you say you will walk for 1h30'00"0'. If you don't enter that information you will be placed in a different starting block.

The start of our walk in Veyrier and the finish is Parc des Bastion.

After the deadline of Friday, October 27, we will start planning our costumes.
