World of Work:
New day, new format, new energy!
The World of Work is shaking itself up for the new year and offering you more time and opportunities for networking, getting feedback for your questions and issues and, of course, making friends. For this we will be tapping into the
huge talent within the group to inform, support, provoke, advise and amuse.
The meetings will be informal and will draw on our own resources, so that we really have a chance to get to know and gain from the terrific personalities and talents within the group. Over the course of the year we will be throwing
open the floor to members to tell us what exactly their jobs entail. These will be short presentations and afterwards there will be a chance to discuss an issue raised by the presenter. For example: how do you measure success in a nonprofit organisation; how can you motivate and manage volunteers; how can we make science based careers more interesting for girls; or, do those shoes really go with those trousers?
The meetings will now take place on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Please meet at the Clubrooms between 18:30 and 19:00 as before. For more information contact jane.soederblom@bluewin.ch.

Evening Book Discussion Group
For working women, moms looking for a night out or bookworms for whom one book discussion group each month just isn’t enough. We meet at the Clubrooms at 19:00 on the first Wednesday of the month to discuss a wide selection of books.
Bring something to drink or a snack to share. For more information contact Hazel Phillips at 022 346 73 87 or
hazelp_phillips@yahoo.co.uk.

Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking combines artistic expression with precious photos and mementos, enabling you to tell the story behind the scenes. It is a simple, powerful way to preserve memories of years abroad, favorite trips, holidays, events,
friendships, and other experiences. Join us for a glass of wine and we will introduce you to the joys of “cropping.” You can get on track before your photos mount up—and you will have a lot of fun along the way!

When: 2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings each month

Book and Movie Group
AIWC Clubrooms, 19:00 on the third Wednesday of every month. We will read a book and then gather to watch a film based on the same book.
We’ll discuss the book with the help of “book club”-style questions and discuss how successful (or otherwise) the film adaptation was.
For more information please contact Hazel Phillips at 079 262 81 04 or hazelp_phillips@yahoo.co.uk.
